ICHK’s award-winning arts team has worked its magic again, leaving audiences spellbound with its extraordinary production of Wonder.land?

One of our most ambitious and imaginative productions to date, Wonder.land? brought together students as performers, designers, devisers, technicians and ensemble members in a remarkable collaborative achievement. This bold, immersive, multimedia reimagining of Alice’s story transported audiences far beyond the whimsical world they thought they knew.

In this re-envisioned tale, Alice is older and grappling with the uncertainty of her own memories. When a clinical treatment administered by Dr White fractures reality, audiences journey alongside her through corridors, hidden rooms and down a rabbit hole into a Wonderland that feels increasingly unstable.

Performed across multiple spaces and featuring powerful ensemble movement, projection, puppetry and original devised work created by students across year groups, the production explored themes of identity, authority and belonging. At its heart lay a compelling question: was Wonderland ever imaginary, or was it the only place Alice was truly free?

Anyone fortunate enough to have attended one of ICHK’s productions will know the exceptional talent of our Arts Department for creating intricate, compelling and deeply immersive theatrical experiences. Wonder.land? was no exception.

Everyone involved played a vital role in bringing the production to life. From the talented makeup artists and dedicated prop makers to the set designers, technicians and performers, every contribution helped create a truly memorable experience. The energy, commitment and creativity of the cast and crew transformed the Arts Department’s vision into a captivating theatrical event.

The stunning sets, inventive props and dynamic choreography were all flawless and parents, staff and friends of the school were left amazed by the production, which was likened to a piece of professional theatre.

Rehearsing and performing in a school production requires an incredible amount of time, focus and teamwork. Our students invested countless hours of hard work, focus and creativity, and the results were nothing short of spectacular.
