Rock Climbing at Shek O
Year 8 students have been building resilience during rock-climbing days at Shek O.
They have been developing their climbing skills, enjoying low level coasteering and exploring rock pools for tidal wildlife.
The excursions have been designed by our team of outdoor educators, who provide students with a diverse range of learning opportunities.
The activities were carefully planned to push the students out of their comfort zones, help them develop the ability to face down their fears, and dig deep into reserves of spirit and energy.
This is a mindset they can then transfer to the rest of their lives, whether it is dealing with exams or any of the daily challenges that they will encounter in the world.
The students demonstrated real grit and resilience, worked to support each other and returned to school more confident and resourceful after their experience.
