Scholar's Cup at Yale University
ICHK’s Scholar’s Cup team is celebrating achievements at the prestigious Tournament of Champions.
Justin Tsui, Daniel Glen and Hon Ma travelled to Yale University with Chinese teachers Vincent Wang and Amanda Luk, for the academic competition, which attracts thousands of students from around the world every year.
After tours of Yale and MIT, a cultural fair and an opening ceremony in Woolsey Hall, they took part in team debate, collaborative writing and the Scholar’s Bowl.
The team proudly secured 41st place. Justin ranked 37th out of 1,200 participants in the writing competition, and the team’s debate performance placed them 93rd among 400 teams. None of these accomplishments would have been possible without their hard work and dedication.
As well as the competition itself, the trip was a fantastic opportunity for them to interact with and learn directly from Yale students and faculty and experience what it’s like to be a student at one of the world’s greatest universities.
