Congratulations to the ICHK students who took part in one of the biggest Model United Nations conferences in Asia.
A team of ten students competed in a challenging three days of intense debate at the Hong Kong MUN at the Science Park.
MUN is an academic simulation of the United Nations aimed at raising awareness of global affairs with young people. Students learn about international relations, diplomacy, and how the UN works.
The Hong Kong MUN conference was established in 1988, and is a platform for students to debate pressing global issues.
This year’s conference included 13 committees, encouraging students to take on a variety of roles, challenge perspectives and come up with creative solutions to counter issues of global significance.
Our students were wonderful ambassadors for ICHK, and made some fantastic contributions to the different committees they were a part of. All adopted a growth mindset – a key personal attribute which we promote to all students, in identifying a new opportunity and successfully pursuing it to its conclusion.
They are to be commended for their professionalism and the way they conducted themselves during the event.
