The first ever ICHK internship programme has been a great success.

The 10 week programme has just come to an end, with students developing many new life skills and learning about the world of work.

Twenty four students from Year 10 have completed placements at Kadoorie Farm, Crossroads Foundation, the DH Chen Foundation, Zamacorp and EcoSys Action.

The organisations put together tailor-made programmes to give them real insights into their lines of work.

All were designed to give our students valuable opportunities to develop life skills, gain real life experience and build on their portfolios for university and life beyond school.

Students have reflected on the programmes and for many of them, the experiences have piqued their interest in particular fields of work.

The programme is the latest in a series of innovations developed at ICHK, all of which serve to offer our students more choice, more flexibility, different work practices and more opportunities to develop skills and attributes which are not addressed by examinations.

The organisations have all spoken positively about our students, commending them for their professionalism and maturity. Further placements will be organised for Year 10 students next year.
