Year 9 Art students have been learning about the popular art form of linoleum block printing.

The students created a range of sketches, all of which were meaningful or relevant to them.

They then learned how to carve their designs onto blocks of lino and apply ink to create some amazing artwork.

The work was produced under the guidance of Art Teacher Amy Thibeault, and was the latest mode of art that they have been introduced to. Over the past year they have been encouraged to express themselves through a variety of techniques, including painting, drawing and collage.

The final display of lino prints includes a wide variety of different ideas, from butterflies and lily pads, to bubble tea, Willy Wonka and Sydney Harbour.
