Year 10 BTEC Art and Design students have created a stunning exhibition of artwork.

They proudly presented their final artworks to the community in the White Cube.

Students explored the theme of ‘Stories’ and created thoughtful and personal pieces to communicate their own individual narratives.

The Year 10 Artists worked with traditional mediums, such as painting and drawing to showcase their strong technical skills. Some took bold creative risks and worked with unconventional materials such as fake flowers, basketballs, tennis racket strings, scrolls, wood, and many more.

In the exhibition, we also saw creative techniques, such as cardboard construction, sewing, and video editing used to create unique and contemplative sculptural works.

The students confidently shared the conceptual background of their work and process of creating their pieces, with students and staff who visited the exhibition.

Through the experience they also learnt about the process of organising and curating an exhibition and the various responsibilities they have as exhibiting artists.
