We are pleased to share a video showcasing an important element of our acclaimed outdoor learning programme.

The Year 9 Rite of Passage is a milestone for students, allowing them to reflect on their growth in school and in life, before the next step of their educational journey.

During the event, students crossed the boundary into the Sha Tau Kok Frontier Closed Area, journeying into Lai Chi Wo and Miu Tsz Lam. They planted native trees and coffee plants, symbolising growth and new beginnings.

Many tagged their trees and plants with personal words of encouragement, marking their own understanding of what it means to grow and learn.

It was more than a school trip; it was a positive contribution to the natural environment and the chance to reflect on their experiences and transition with the right mindset into the next chapter of their ICHK story.

Students will return to see the growth sparked by their hard work, and it is our hope that they return in years to come, to share their story and show their families where their roots were planted.
