Congratulations to the students who competed in the Battle of the Books competition.

They battled it out against teams from five other schools in a test of their book trivia knowledge.

The students have been busy reading a range of books in preparation for the competition, under the guidance of English Teacher Isabel Khine.

Battle of the Books was launched in Hong Kong in 1999 and attracts school teams from all over the territory. The aim is to introduce students to a variety of reading material, build teamwork skills and ensure that reading is fun.

Our students have worked hard all year and given up many lunchtimes to read books, answer questions and prepare for the event. They have enjoyed a variety of literary genres and worked together as a team.

During the competition they were wonderful ambassadors for the school. They were supportive and encouraging to each other and graciously congratulated the winning team.
