Another Round of Deep Learning

Students have been engaged in another fantastic round of Deep Learning.

Our acclaimed programme has featured a rich array of thoughtfully designed units that draw upon the teaching expertise at ICHK. Students have embarked on adventures in sailing, explored the food and indigenous culture of Hong Kong, learned about living oceans through oyster research, created innovative upcycling projects and showcased their talents in preparation for the school production of Wonder.land?

Adventure X students enjoyed thrilling outdoor activities, including stream-hiking, coasteering, hiking and abseiling. An ASDAN Foodwise group stepped into the vibrant behind-the-scenes world of hospitality. A Faces of War group travelled around Hong Kong and Macau, considering the horrors of war and examining it from a variety of perspectives.

Others have been experiencing what it's like to be in a band, learning essential music theory, exploring the dynamics of playing together, and writing their own original songs.

Groups of students have been learning about the art of Bargello Needlepoint, sailing, set design, food and culture.

A Snowbound group provided students with the opportunity to immerse themselves in snow sports at an indoor ski resort in Guangzhou. A Curiosity in Motion group embarked on an extraordinary outdoor adventure that seamlessly connected mathematics and science.

Each experience has been engaging and memorable, provided by both our dedicated staff and external experts.

Year 10 students were engaged in our new Catalysts for Change programme, focused on service-based learning, marking a pivotal moment in their school journey as they explored diverse communities and deepened their understanding of the culture around them.

The initiative aimed to inspire them to become active contributors to society while providing enriching, real-world learning opportunities.
