Yale Scholar’s Cup Preparation
ICHK students are to once again represent Hong Kong in the prestigious Yale Scholar’s Cup.
A total of 12 students will be participating in the Shenzhen Regional Round of the academic competition this month.
Divided into four teams of three, they will compete in a range of events, including Team Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge, and Scholar’s Bowl.
They are aiming to qualify for the Bangkok Global Round and have been preparing diligently through practise debates, quizzes, and attending presentations by last year’s team members.
The World Scholar’s Cup features Regional and Global Rounds before concluding with the Tournament of Champions at Yale University in November.
It attracts students from around the world and is aimed at inspiring a global community of future scholars and leaders.
It is the second year for ICHK to enter the competition, after last year’s team members qualified for the Tournament of Champions at Yale University. As well as achievements in debating and collaborative writing, they experienced intense competition, learning to work as a team and under pressure.
We commend the students on their hard work and efforts, and we wish them every success at the Regional Round.
