Congratulations to our U12 Girls Volleyball A-Team on their silver medal success.

The girls capped an incredible season by bringing home a hard-fought medal in a thrilling playoff tournament. The day began with an epic semi-final comeback against a loud, energetic CDNIS squad. After a time-out to rest, re-energized and completely locked in, the girls mounted a spectacular comeback to force a nail-biting deuce, ultimately winning the first set 27-25. With their rhythm fully established and the momentum in their favour, they cruised through the second set 25-15 to punch their ticket to the finals against a formidable ASHK team.

Advancing to the finals, the girls battled exhaustion and a booming crowd, but dug deep to capture the first set 25-21. As heavy fatigue set in during the second set, the girls never stopped lifting each other up and shouting words of advice, but unfortunately dropped the set 17-25. Though disappointed, they put on their game faces for the third and final tiebreaker set; however, with the entire gymnasium now packed and watching their court, the deafening noise made it difficult to hear each other, hindering their communication at critical moments. The championship was agonizingly close, but ASHK ultimately claimed the title by just three points, finishing the final set 12-15.

While there was disappointment at the final whistle, the post-game reflection time brought a beautiful shift in perspective: the girls realised that this is only the very beginning of their volleyball journeys, and to achieve second place after improving so much in such a short period of time is a massive, praiseworthy feat. A massive thank you goes to our student coaches for their unwavering guidance and support throughout the entire season, as well as to the wonderful community of parents whose electric energy in the stands made this playoff experience truly unforgettable for these young athletes. Well done to all the girls.
