The new ICHK nature trail is being used by students for authentic, place-based learning experiences.

The students were able to learn about foraging and how natural resources like bamboo and ferns are used in structures and shelters, all in a real life context.

A huge amount of research has been conducted on how powerful learning is when experienced in real life situations.

Our location allows many unique opportunities for meaningful outdoor learning, which shows students how they can connect the knowledge and skills learned in school to the real world.
