Students Enjoy Deep Learning+ Week

An amazing range of Deep Learning + challenges has been experienced over the past week.

Despite the disappointment caused by the typhoon, students have completed a diverse series of programmes.

They have stepped out of the classrooms, and pushed outside of their comfort zones, camping, hiking and taking part in abseiling and a range of other outdoor activities.

Some programmes were adjusted because of the bad weather, but group leaders worked tirelessly to ensure that students enjoyed a full range of safe and enjoyable activities.

They have figured out solutions to tasks and problems, worked together to complete objectives, and supported one another – demonstrating perseverance and developing the critical skills of collaboration, problem solving and decision-making.

Work experience placements have been underway at our partner primary schools and Crossroads; our art team has been busy at school whilst first aiders training has also been underway. Other students have been learning about fashion design, whilst our media team has been capturing all the action on film.

Every one of the trips and projects was designed to push students to the limits of their capacities in ways that the regular school experience is not able to do.

We are looking forward to our students returning to school stronger, more resilient, more confident and hearing all their stories next week.
