Why did you want to become a teacher?

I originally wanted to be an actuary but I couldn’t find my way, so I applied to be a tutor and here I am.

What makes a ‘good day’ at school?

Seeing and sensing students working hard, being nice to another, engaging in deep conversation while I lose track of time.

If I walked into your classroom on a typical afternoon, what would I see going on?

Students following my instructions and explanations on the whiteboard, or they are working on assigned problems at their pace, discussing them with their peers, carrying out investigations and trying different methods, learning from one another. All the while feeling comfortable and asking intriguing questions.

What are your “trapped on a desert island” books or movies?

“How to escape a desert island” by Houdini

What is the hardest thing about being a teacher?

Coming up with the perfect lesson. It’s as real as ‘i’.

What inspires you?

A well versed person and good music.
