Outdoor Learning Conference

ICHK educators have been sharing their expertise at the Hong Kong Outdoor Learning Conference.

The team joined other outdoor educators and school leaders from across the region for a program of learning and collaboration.

Head of Outdoor Learning, Dave Addis, shared findings from a research project conducted at ICHK about what happens to support students to bring their learning back from camp.

Head of the +1 Centre, Emma Kent Jones spoke about working with neurodivergent students on outdoor learning programs.

ICHK Primary’s Ho Mei Chau shared the origins of the outdoor learning program at the school.

The conference served as a platform for sharing innovative ideas, best practices, and research related to outdoor education and included discussions, workshops, and hands-on activities.

The presentations add to a growing list of conferences that our staff have been invited to in recent years. We have seen a rapid increase in international interest in our innovations, programmes and curricula, and we now regularly present at education conferences and summits, host workshops and meet with educators who are keen to learn about our approaches.

ICHK staff also regularly attend conferences as part of our ongoing commitment to professional development. These provide invaluable opportunities for networking, sharing best practices, strengthening subject knowledge and gaining fresh perspectives on innovative teaching methods.
