As part of their Outdoor Leader Certificate, the outdoor leaders have been working on their end of term personal projects.

The students were given the task of creating a session or resource to engage others in the outdoors around our school.

The aim is for their projects to combine the outdoor leadership skills that they've learnt over the last term with their own passions and interests.

Students have been working on a range of projects including planning and leading a beach clean-up and upcycling workshop; setting new climbing routes and developing a grading system in the school bouldering room; compiling a photo exhibition of ‘Life in Kuk Po’ based on a recent outing; planning a beach volleyball training session and running an abseiling activity for younger students to step out of their comfort zone.

The students have been working on their projects during their weekly Enrichment and Flow lessons.

The Outdoor Leader Award recognises students for their work in outdoor education and is a major addition to student portfolios and university applications.
