A fantastic orienteering challenge has been enjoyed by Year 9 students.

The event was held at Tai Po Waterfront Park, with students taking part in a Star course which involved them finding different checkpoints around the location.

The course followed the orienteering unit which is offered as part of the year 9 PE curriculum, and was aimed at helping students to develop the key skills of collaboration, perseverance and problem solving, which are central to the ICHK philosophy.

Students were given maps, and working in groups of three, tasked with finding checkpoints before returning to a central location for the next map.

The challenge was held over two days, and students returned to school energised and more confident after the experience.
