Senior students have been learning about maths concepts in a real-world context.

Year 12s took part in a maths walk around school during Curriculum X.

They are learning about parabolas and projectile motion in class, and they used the time to see the concepts in a real setting.

They also went to the car park to sample car brands and the nearby bus stop to work out the probability that the bus would arrive on time.

The walk was intended to give them inspiration to complete a report focusing on applied mathematics, and showed them how mathematics can be applied in real life.
