The stunning surroundings of our school have been inspiring Year 8 students.

Students of Jon Rees’ Human Technologies class walked along the shoreline near school, observing the beauty of nature, helping them to clear their minds and find a calm headspace.

They then spent time creating Zen inspired rock balance sculptures as part of a unit on Somatic Knowledge.

The lesson formed part of the Year 8 HT curriculum, which encourages students to experience school in more positive ways, whilst developing a profound sense of the art and craft of being human.

The students have been learning about technologies that allow you to maintain and use your body more healthily and effectively, and the outdoor lesson gave them some space to re-centre and enjoy the peace of their surroundings.
