ICHK TV
A new TV streaming channel called ‘ICHK TV’ is to be piloted this month.
The School Media Team, under the guidance of SMT Head Emma White, is leading the project.
Students will run a live show titled ‘Good Morning ICHK’, which will be screened in classrooms during Curriculum X.
The 20 minute pilot will be live-streamed during Spirit Week and will be themed around Deep Learning + Week.
The project has been in development for some time and follows a visit by students to ISF to learn about their TV show.
Since then they have set up their own studio at ICHK, and been learning about broadcasting, public speaking, digital media production, scriptwriting, storyboarding, directing, lighting, sound engineering and video editing.
The pilot will allow the team to test the concept and gather feedback, before launching a regular show next year.
We are very excited about the project, which aligns with our mission of fostering innovation, creativity, and student leadership. As well as the technical skills of producing a TV show, students will be learning about teamwork and problem solving, in addition to the thought processes, ethical considerations, and professional practices involved in creating and disseminating information through media, preparing them for real-world application of their learning.
The pilot show will be shared later with parents via a private Youtube link in the bulletin, and we look forward to ICHK TV becoming a powerful platform for communication and learning.
