ICHK is hitting the headlines again.

We are delighted that the UK's Institute of Outdoor Learning magazine, Horizons, has featured our outdoor leadership award and outdoor learning programme.

It has published a four page feature on our unique initiative which recognises students for their work in outdoor education.

The article has been authored by our Experiential Educator Dave Addis and our former Director of Curriculum X Douglas Kidd.

The article is a positive celebration of our programme, and a fantastic explanation of how outdoor education is central to our approaches to learning and teaching at ICHK.

It is in the outdoors that students learn the critical skills of leadership, dynamic problem solving, communication, planning, organisation and the ability to think on their feet.

Our pioneering Outdoor Leadership programme gives students unique and meaningful opportunities to help lead activities, receive training and develop key life skills.

After completing the programme they receive the Outdoor Leadership Certificate, which is a major addition to student portfolios and university applications.

We are very pleased that learning and innovations from ICHK are being shared with educators from around the world.
