HKAYP Expedition
Students have completed their Bronze level Award for Young People expedition.
In small groups, they navigated Lantau Island, walking, camping, carrying everything they needed for two days and supporting each other throughout.
During the expedition, they demonstrated strong qualities and high levels of responsibility. With largely no adult intervention, they realised their own resilience and potential, gave each other genuine support and care, and stood out as leaders and team members.
The AYP is an internationally recognised award which promotes student independence.
Students need to pursue activities in the four categories of skill, physical recreation, service and expedition. We are also able to utilise our unique location, which offers students unrivalled opportunities for outdoor education.
ICHK students complete the award as its goals exactly match our aims to develop the critical skills of collaboration, problem solving and decision-making.
Well done to all the students.
