Year 7 students are enjoying a ‘Hakka History and Bushcraft Experience’.
Students will travel back in time and spend a day building up their own small Hakka community. Throughout the day, they will learn about what it was like to be one of the first Hakka settlers, build a shelter together, practice bushcraft skills, paint their own unique mural and cook their own food.
The activity has been designed by our outdoor educators, who are providing Year 7s with opportunities to enjoy the beautiful, local environment as part of their training to become happy, confident, intelligent warriors.
The students are taking part in a diverse range of learning opportunities, all of which help to develop the key skills of confidence and resilience which are central to our approaches.
