ICHK’s Director of Upper School and IB Coordinator Flora Lai has been presenting at the IB Global Conference in Korea.

Flora spoke to educators from across the region, delivering an engaging talk entitled ‘Balancing well-being with academic demands: Is there a formula for a happy and productive school?’

The session was aimed at exploring how schools can work to support students through the academic demands they face, while prioritising their well-being.

Flora’s presentation explained how we run the IBDP and 5+1 pastoral model, and how programmes like Human Technologies help students to experience school in positive ways.

By engaging participants in a series of interactive activities, she provided the audience with some takeaways around the question, "Is there a formula for a "happy and productive" school?"

The 75 minute presentation was run as an interactive and collaborative session.

The event adds to a growing list of conferences that our staff have been invited to in recent years. We have seen a rapid increase in international interest in our innovations, programmes and curricula, and we regularly present at education conferences and summits, host workshops and meet with educators who are keen to learn about our approaches.
