Excellent IB Results

We are delighted to announce another set of excellent IB results, which demonstrate the growth of our students as IB learners.

Our average IB score was 36.6 this year, with one student achieving the maximum 45 points – putting her in the top 1% of IB students in the world. She is now starting a degree in Law at Oxford University.

Of our 25 IB Diploma students, our Diploma pass rate was once again at 100%. More than 60% scored 35 points and above, and 36% scored 40 points and above.

Our average score also places ICHK significantly above the global average of 31.98 points. These results are once again in line with the highest achieving schools in Hong Kong and beyond.

Needless to say, the Covid-19 pandemic had significantly impacted this year group’s learning journeys, both in their I/GCSE and in their IBDP years. We are incredibly proud of all of our students - students who, by embracing a growth mindset and supporting one another, routinely go far beyond what might be expected of them. They have truly demonstrated the resilience, grit and tenacity critical to success at university and beyond.

The students are now preparing to take up places at prestigious universities across the world, including University of Oxford, University of Warwick, the University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, Monash University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the University of Hong Kong. They will be studying courses including Veterinary Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Law, International Relations and Psychology.

The whole ICHK community congratulates the students on their results, which are a well-deserved reward for their dedication and hard work over the past two years, and to the teachers and staff who guided and supported them.
