Year 8 students are taking part in ‘Big History Hikes’.

Each year 8 group will spend a day hiking from Ma On Shan Iron Mine to Sai Kung Town, visiting some significant landmarks in Hong Kong history.

Two classes have already completed the hikes. At different checkpoints, students carried out a challenge or took part in discussions to gain a piece of a puzzle which they had to piece together to create their own story of how the landscape of Hong Kong came to be as we know it today.

The activities have been designed by our outdoor educators, who are providing Year 8s with a wide range of outdoor learning opportunities, linked to different areas of the curriculum.
