Congratulations to ICHK’s very own a cappella group, for winning a top award in their first competition.

Our students took part in the Hong Kong a cappella Contest, giving an outstanding performance of Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’.

They were delighted to win the Outstanding Performance Award, with special recognition given to lead singers Aidan Fung and Ben Ng in the “Best Lead Singer” category.

The group joined 10 other schools at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium for the competition organised by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

They have been practising for the event at school under the expert guidance of Music Teacher Phoebe Wong.

The singers have shown real dedication and worked hard to perfect their performance in recent weeks, making huge improvements in a very short space of time.

Ms Wong is to be commended for the work she has done with them, bringing as much passion and experience to their sessions, as she does to the school music programme.

Under her leadership, students across the school are sharing in the joy of music.
