In March 2023, ICHK’s very own a cappella group won a top award in their first competition.

Our students took part in the Hong Kong a cappella Contest, giving an outstanding performance of Alicia Keys’ ‘If I Ain’t Got You’.

They were delighted to win the Outstanding Performance Award, with special recognition given to lead singers Aidan Fung and Ben Ng in the “Best Lead Singer” category.

The group joined 10 other schools at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium for the competition organised by The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups.

They had been practising under the expert guidance of Music Teacher Phoebe Wong, working hard and showing real dedication to perfect their performance in a very short space of time.

Students repeated their performance at the end of term 2 assembly, allowing the whole school to share in the joy of music.
