Year 12 Psychology students have been using the library to investigate how books portray cultural norms for gender.

The students have been exploring stereotypes in literature and conducting analysis as part of their IB studies.

They looked at trends in books from different periods of time as part of their studies into enculturation.

This is the process, beginning in early childhood, by which people learn particular cultural values, ideas, beliefs, and behavioral patterns.

Under the guidance of Psychology teacher Sammi Chan, they were asked to investigate stereotypes in books and compile a report on their findings.
