Spectacular days of outdoor learning have been organised for our partner primary schools.

Our team of experiential educators has organised and run a series of Wild Science days in the beautiful surroundings of Luk Keng.

Year 6 students from ICHK Hong Lok Yuen, KIS and JIS enjoyed learning through discovery, and connecting with nature whilst solving problems in teams and developing an adventurous spirit.

Programme of activities were carefully crafted, including investigating how to build shelters using ropes; learning about the flora and fauna in the area; making fairy houses as part of investigating habitats; nature walks, observing and recording flora and fauna, making rafts to investigate how things float and swimming in streams and waterfalls.

The days were fantastic confidence building events for the students, gently pushing them out of their comfort zones and helping them to build confidence and resilience which is key to the ICHK approach.

ICHK students helped run the events, providing them with valuable experience towards their Outdoor Leadership Awards, which recognise outstanding work in outdoor education.
