What did you most enjoy about your time at ICHK?

My most enjoyable moments during my time at ICHK are all of the outdoor activities and experiences that I was lucky enough to experience. CAS Week and other outings have made me closer to my friends and helped me interact with people from different cultures. Another thing is that ICHK's small but growing community has given me the opportunity to be able to talk to people and befriend people not only in my grade but also with students in grades higher and lower than me.

How do you feel that teachers at ICHK prepared you for life after school?

The teachers at ICHK have been very passionate and dedicated in teaching the students. During my time at ICHK I was able to meet many teachers whom I enjoyed being taught by and was also able to hold a conversation with them outside of the classroom. Throughout my 7 years at ICHk going through the IGCSE and IBDP I don't think I would have been able to go through them without my teachers' support, encouragement and care. Furthermore with all of my teachers being open minded I was able to voice my opinions without being judged or doubted.

How do you think that ICHK differs from other schools?

ICHK has been one of the most unique schools that I have attended and is probably one of the most unique schools in the world. It has one of the smallest school communities in Hong Kong which helped me to know more people on a personal level. Furthermore ICHk has also focused on developing outdoor activities during my time and I was lucky enough to experience many of them which helped me to grow my interest in outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, abseiling and canyoning which ranks among my favorites.

What were the key skills that you learnt at ICHK?

The key skill that I have learnt during my time at ICHK was being able to communicate and interact with people. Being given the opportunity to attend school with students from different countries and different cultures helped me to understand cultural values. Being able to communicate and understand is very important when meeting new people which will happen throughout my lifetime.

Any significant moments / highlights / achievements in your life that you may like to share, and do you think your time at ICHK helped you prepare for them?

One of the most significant moments in my life was being able to come third place in the Asia Pacific Regional tournament in 2018 when I had the honour to play on the Hong Kong all star team for baseball. Coming short of third place in 2017 I was able to train hard during the year and persevere for next year's regional tournament. Overall my greatest achievement so far has been continuing to play baseball for 12 years and being able to play for the Hong Kong National Team starting in 2017.
