Another hugely successful snow sports trip has been enjoyed by ICHK families.

A group of students, parents and staff visited the stunning Shiga Kogen area in Japan during the Chinese New Year break. This unique community trip has gone from strength to strength over the past five years, allowing families and staff the chance to learn and grow together.

Everyone who joined enjoyed winter sports including skiing and snowboarding,  opportunities to sample new food and language immersion.

Organiser Ray Chan said: “Trips such as this one are a microcosm of what we do at ICHK. Ostensibly, it is about learning snow sports but it is much more than the skiing and boarding. We aim to develop a growth mindset in our students, to encourage them to show resilience in the face of difficulties and continuously search for improvement.

“It is also about community and how we can foster it through our behaviour towards one another, challenging each other to greater heights, showing kindness and compassion. We were delighted by how much growth we saw in our students again this year.”
