Senior students are continuing to work towards their Outdoor Leadership Awards.

The unique initiative recognises students for their work in outdoor education, helping them to develop key life skills including communication, planning, organisation and problem solving.

This week our student outdoor leaders joined a Mangrove Day for ICHK Primary, helping to lead sessions, organise activities and support younger students.

The day was organised by our outdoor education team, and allowed year 3 students to discover species in their natural habitats and look for wildlife in the spectacular environment of our school.

It was a wonderful learning experience and our students are to be commended for the way they conducted themselves and helped with the smooth running of the day.

Their efforts will contribute towards the Outdoor Leader Certificate, which is a major addition to the ICHK Transcript and university applications.

Over the coming months, students will be given more opportunities to help lead activities for their younger peers, whilst also working towards other aspects of the Award during their weekly Enrichment and Flow lessons.
