Junior Achievement Mugs
At ICHK, we know that change in the world is constant and accelerating. We know that students need a new and wider set of skills if they are to meet the challenges that await: that, in an information and ideas based economy, it is attitudes and mindsets, no less than qualifications, that will underpin ongoing performance and success.
We are proud to have created – and continually evolve – a school experience that best prepares young people for that future.
Students are offered regular occasions to rehearse being happy, confident, intelligent, collaborative, dependable, considerate, gracious, self-motivating, ethical, proactive warriors, which is central to the ICHK philosophy.
The Junior Achievement Club is just one of many of these occasions.
In early 2023, under the company name S-MugBags, a group of students established and operated their very own company as they would in the real business world. They oversaw their first production run of Hong Kong-themed socks, mugs and bags, and began planning for their products to be sold at a JA product fair at K11.
Working together in the JA club, they were able to develop their entrepreneurial mindset and 21st-century skills, including goal-setting, creative problem-solving, teamwork, communication, digital marketing and learning from mistakes.
The mugs included here were among the products they created.
