Internships Begin
Our internship programme for Year 10 and 11 students is underway.
Students have begun their work experience placements.
Partnerships have been developed with the Crossroads Foundation, the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, ZAMA, EcoSys Action, LinkedIn and Kadoorie Farm, with unique programmes created especially for our students. For the first time there are also two ICHK-led programmes; the Outdoor Leader programme and the Product Design and Enterprise programme.
We are very pleased to be offering students these valuable opportunities to develop life skills, gain real-life experience, and build on their portfolios for university and life beyond school.
Under the scheme, a total of 50 placements have been offered, with students spending one afternoon a week working with the organisations, for a total of nine weeks.
The internship programme is tightly associated with our Epistemic Apprenticeship, and provides students with a significant step towards assuming responsibility for their own learning, a foretaste of the all-important self-management and organisational skills that will serve them well for the rest of their lives.
