A wonderful tradition was marked at school, as our new year 7s were applauded into the first assembly of the year.

The whole school stood to welcome our youngest members, in a symbolic moment which marked their transition to secondary school.

Acting Head of School Sean McDermott welcomed the students and congratulated them on a positive start to the school year. In a heartfelt speech centred around the importance of community, Sean inspired the students by outlining the values at the heart of the ICHK philosophy.

The students heard about the many opportunities they will be given to explore their interests, to develop their potential and to thrive as learners and people. They heard that ICHK is a special place that we are all extremely proud of.

The assembly was carefully designed to ensure the students feel a strong sense of belonging as they adjust to their new school environment.
