ICHK Secondary is located at the site of the former Sha Tau Kok Government Secondary School.

This painting is a reminder of our school’s history before ICHK existed. From research we know that the site was used as a local primary school, and converted to a secondary school in the early 1960s.

The site was awarded to Hong Lok Yuen International School in 2008 as they sought to develop a new secondary school to provide places for students leaving in Year 6.

A major renovation programme followed, with the school’s four main buildings upgraded, ready for the school to reopen at ICHK in 2009.

The picture is dated 1984, and we assume it was painted by a former student.
