Outdoor education is central to our approaches to learning and teaching at ICHK.
It is in the outdoors that students learn the critical skills of leadership, dynamic problem solving, communication, planning, organisation and the ability to think on their feet.
Our pioneering Outdoor Leadership scheme gives students unique and meaningful opportunities to help lead activities for their younger peers and students from our partner primary schools.
Student volunteers receive training, feedback and opportunities to input their own ideas, along with opportunities for first aid training and qualifications in outdoor activities.
After completing the programme they receive the Outdoor Leadership Certificates, which is a major addition to student portfolios and university applications.
