Learning Assistant

ICHK Kindergarten & Primary · Job type: Teaching

ICHK Kindergarten and Primary is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Learning Assistant to start work at the beginning of the 2021/22 academic year in August 2021. ICHK is a PYP school and a Forest School Leadership Centre.

Candidates must be committed to creating a happy, healthy learning community, empowering all members to flourish. Candidates should be able to demonstrate how they can play their part in helping the school achieve its vision of being a leader in outdoor education, innovation and well-being.



The main responsibilities for this role include:

  • creating and sourcing resources based on teacher plans and direction
  • leading small learning groups based on teacher plans and direction
  • assisting students according to situation and need
  • supervising students during eating and play times
  • accompanying students on study trips
  • maintaining a classroom environment



Candidates must be willing to take initiative, think creatively and have a sense of humour.  Candidates must also have strong communication and interpersonal skills; and are able to work collaboratively in a professional team.

Requirements:

  • native or near native level English
  • efficient level of ICT literacy
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • excellent organisational skills
  • develop and maintain positive professional relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
