System Preferences

System Preferences is the engine of the whole computer. If you click on it along your desktop, you can go from checking your internet connection, to changing your desktop picture. You can also change the sounds of your computer and more!

One of the main features on Sytem Preferences is Parental Control. Parental Control is where your parents can put a password on a web page or an Application. This will stop you from getting access to websites such as Facebook or information which is not suitable for children. So be warned and use the web safely!!

There are lots of features on System Preferences, such as:

• Appearance (What colour you what things in, or where things are placed)
• Desktop & screensaver (To set your desktop image and screensaver)
• Dock (To set where you want it, i.e Bottom, left or right. You can also hide it, or maximise it)
• Exposé & Spaces (Activation)
• Language & Text
• Security (To activate if you want to type your password once your laptop is sleeping)
• Spotlight (To activate)
