Basic Information

Photo Booth is a software that allows you to take photos and videos with different effects using your built in webcam - iSight. You can find it in Finder or Applications and comes with your Mac. It is useful in many ways and it is also easy to use, just click the red button with a picture of a camera. Photos that are taken on Photo Booth can be used for your 'Buddy Picture' as well as your account picture. You can email your pictures to friends and family very easily.

Another thing you could do with photo booth is to drag pictures of your own and put them as a background. You can also drag the picture onto your desktop or onto Pages Photo Booth allows you to take four pictures at once, take a video or take a picture with different types of interesting effects. Like:

• Comic Book
• Thermal
• Black and White
• X-Ray
• Glow
• Pencil
• Sepia
• Pop art

Photo Booth uses a front face camera. The camera flashes a bright white light to make your face bright as it takes the picture.

How to use Photo Booth

Using photo booth is really simple.

1. Open up photo booth using Finder or your dock.
2. Choose your effect.
3. Click the red button, then in 3 seconds, (the computer will show you) your webcam will capture a picture or start recording you.

You can get many functions for your picture that involve background, functions like making your face bulge, having a gorgeous background which you can stand in front of the Eiffel tower! If you have a MacBook pro, you can have even more functions, like chipmunk, lovestruck, make the photo booth fullscreen, and lots more!

There are many effects. Some are funny and some are embarrassing. It is a good way to have fun your friends when you get really bored.

Using photo booth you can even add it to your iPhoto and put it as your desktop photo! You can also use Photo Booth to take photos with many effects.
