In garage band you can start making your own music with the instrument sounds already pre-recorded. It's great to create, record and mix small bits of music together. This app is also great because you can learn how to play instruments and doesn't require internet connection. Garageband is a free app built into macs, it can be used for messing around or you could be really serious and could make some really great songs. Some tips for making a good song is keep a constant rhythm/beat and stick to two or the instruments.
