FaceTime is basically Macs very own skype, but the people in a conversation all need to work on a mac you can do video conferencing, phone calls, and instant messages over the internet. FaceTime is free and is also available for iPhone and iPad.

FaceTime for Mac OS X was announced on October 20, 2010 at the "Back to the Mac" Media event on the Apple Campus
