Exposé is one of the user-friendly features that a Mac has and other computers don't. Exposé is one of the things, that makes a map different from other computers. To find Exposé, you need to press the F3 key. Press F3 and all the applications and programmes you're using will appear in separate frames on the homescreen.

These frames will appear as different sizes depending on how many programmes or applications you have open. If you only have two programmes, then they will each cover half of the screen. If you have lots there may be 10 very small frames. To return to your original programme, simply press F3 again. Also, if they are smaller, they will try to cover as much size as they can by zooming in, so if you had a system preferences window that just covers a third of the screen and a Safari/Firefox/Google Chrome window that covers the whole screen, they will appear in the same size in expose, just that the System Preferences window will be a bit more clearer.

In a nutshell, the Exposé function is a great way to flick between different programmes that you are working on, though if you are using spaces, then you have to put all of them on the same desktop to view all of them. It's best not to get muddled between them.

When you upgrade your OS to Lion your Exposé key will turn into Mission Control
