One-off Charges on Application
- Application charge $2,000 per child (non-refundable)
- Capital Deposit $60,000 per child (refundable)
The capital deposit is due on offer of a place. It provides security of a school place and enables the school to manage staffing effectively.
This deposit is refundable provided:
- Fees have been paid for at least one term
- One term’s notice has been provided prior to leaving the school (please see details below)

School Fees
- Invoices are mailed to the address given on the application form. We will continue to forward all mail to this address unless you notifiy us otherwise.
- Fees are paid termly and invoices are sent out two weeks before the end of the previous term. Deadline for payment is the first day of the term.
- For payments that are outstanding for more than 15 days after the deadline, a late payment fee of 3% will be charged.
- The school reserves the right to withdraw the student from school if the fees are not paid two weeks after the deadline (the first day of each term). The student cannot be reinstated until all fees are paid and providing a school space is available.
- If a family does not pay the fees on time for more than three times consecutively, the school will reserve the right to insist the family pay the fees by termly direct debt.
Other Information
- Reduction (10% discount) is available on capital deposit and school fee for a 3rd child if all are educated at ICHK (on application to the Head of School).
Parents are required to pay for the following:
- Apple Mac laptops, software and the service plan (For Year 7 students payment for this will be required by June 30 so that the new laptops for students will be ready for them on ariival in Sept)
- Stationary as listed in the stationary packs.
- External examination fees.
- Occasional software to accompany some Chinese textbooks.
- Excursion and camps.
- School uniform and accessories.
- School bus charges (paid directly to the company).
- Learning Support charges for individual child if deemed necessary
- EAL intensive charge is $2,000 per month
- Special Need Support Assistant is $125 per hour
- Fees associated with consultations with external Educational Psychologists and Counselors.
The school supplies all textbooks for Years 7 to 11.
Notice period for leaving ICHK
Receipt of a written notice of a parent’s intention to withdraw a child is required addressed to the Business Manager as follows:
- Leaving at the end of a school term
Notice must be received at the latest on the first day of that term.
- Leaving during mid-term in Spring and Summer term
Notice must be received by the first day of the previous term.
- Leaving during mid-term in Autumn term
Notice must be given by the last day of the previous Summer term
Remarks:
- In cases of outstanding school fees and other unpaid invoices, the school reserves the right to withhold the pupil’s student report.
- Insufficient notice will incur penalty of the Capital Deposit.
- Parents with financial difficulty in payment of fees should contact the Head of School in confidence.
