Taking learning beyond the classroom
At ICHK we value the importance of first-hand experience, to help our students develop knowledge and understanding about the world around them. Through an extensive programme of field trips, school camps and other extra-curricular opportunities, our students can follow areas of interest and develope their leadership capacity and personal, social and academic understanding. We also set aside time during the school week for experts to come into our school and share with our students their knowledge, passion and experience.
CAS Trips and Residential Camps
Each year, students will have the opportunity to take part in residential school camps and our senior students will lead service projects for the benefit of the wider community. As the students progress through the school, the experiences become more physically and mentally demanding, providing our students with a range of experiences designed to develop their personal confidence, leadership skills, and global and environmental awareness.
Extra-Curricular Programme:
Students at ICHK will have access to an extensive and varied extra-curricular programme. Designed in conjunction with our curriculum, our extra-curricular provision will cater for the individual strengths and needs of our students.
Sporting activities on offer include hiking, cycling and cross county running to basketball, football and badminton. Social and cultural activities include the choir, dance, the school magazine and year book, Chinese cooking and culture and the Model United Nations.
