MANAGEMENT OF THE SCHOOL AND PARENT INVOLVEMENT
International College Hong Kong is a Company (Association) limited by guarantee. It was incorporated and gained charitable status in September 2008 to manage ICHK.
Currently there is an appointed Board of Governors made up of Managers and Parents of the three contributing primary schools. The Board’s role is to take decisions of a financial, legal and strategic nature. There are 3 subcommittees: Finance, Buildings and the School Management Committee. In time this management will be transferred to an elected Board made up of parents of the College.
The School Management Committee (SMC) will develop and have oversight over all school policies to be approved by the Board. The SMC has three additional subcommittees: Scholarships, Catering and Events.
All committees and subcommittees have parent members to provide channels for contributing ideas and feedback. We also regularly ask parents to be guest speakers for assemblies. If you are interested in being a guest speaker or being part of one of our subcommittees please contact our Development Director.
The day-to-day management is the responsibility of the College Head of School, Roy White who is assisted by a Senior Leadership Team and the SMC.
