The Journalism Club has recently produced a promotional video about ICHK being an international school.
ICHK introduced Movement and Dance Studies to its curriculum in August 2011. This video presents the performance work from the first unit of study ‘Introduction to Movement’. Students from Year 7-9 used a wide range of stimulus to ignite their imagination and develop movement sequences. We hope you enjoy the result. We did!
The ICHK Evolution yearbook is coming out this week! Thanks to Sunny Hung and the Yearbook team for this video.
On Saturday the 28th of May, 11 students from ICHK attended the 2011 Learning Without Frontiers ICT competition, which gives Hong Kong secondary school students a chance to compete against each other using their technical know-how. The competition involves students working for a real-world client on a secret brief, which is only revealed once students have arrived at the event. Hosted by Sha Tin College, the event was also attended by students from South Island School, Island School and Hong Kong International School.
Congratulations to all who participated, as each team produced some very good work. In the end ICHK students Fung Wong, Sheryl Deakin, Rei Ishimizu, Pat Chamberlain and Kelsie Bouttle came away with first prize in the Junior section, for their excellent concept, which integrated a video (below) and website in meeting the client's brief. Another team, consisting of Femke Henzen, Jamie Choi and Emma Boelen also received high praise from the judges for their work.
These two videos were created by students in Year 8 after they were asked to organise and run an assembly about bullying. Well done to Fung Wong, Patricia Chamberlain, Femke Henzen, Rei Ishimizu amd Sheryl Deakin for their excellent work. The first video focuses on bullying, whilst the second aims to help students understand the ICHK Vision & Mission.
These two videos were created at ICHK as part of student learning. The first video was created by all of the Y9 ICT students as part of their work learning about the Internet: students conceived and filmed most of the work, with direction and production done by Mr. Parker. The second was created by Sunny, Sheryl and Sky in Y8, as a self-initiated component of a presentation on global issues of concern in ICT.
